John has worked in client facing Financial Services since 1993 when he started working for a major High Street Bank as a trainee Financial Adviser. Since then he has developed a broad and thorough knowledge of the Mortgage Market and the Financial Services industry as a whole. John believes in an open and honest approach to providing advice to all of his clients and his high standard of ethics has ensured that he has many clients who are always happy to recommend his services.
He is Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) and Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMaP) qualified, is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is presently also studying for the Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER)
John has recently been appointed as a Trustee of the East Coast Sail Trust. The East Coast Sail Trust, is a non profit-making charity. It runs educational voyages for young people, some of whom are from a disadvantaged background, on their 1906 Thames Sailing Barge 'Thalatta' and operates through contacts with schools nationwide.
Away from the office John enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two adult children. He has a passion for Sailing and when not on the water will happily talk boats with anyone for hours!
He also has a passion for outrageously ‘loud’ ties!
Annette came to work alongside her husband some 14 years ago purely in an administrative capacity, but over the years has become integral to the smooth functioning of the business.
Annette is the friendly voice you will usually hear when you phone into the office and still, despite her own workloads, oversees John's case administration and diary!
Outside of Office hours, she enjoys visiting the Theatre and National Trust properties with John, Sailing (there's a surprise!) and immersing herself in a good book!
